Pre-Kharif Kisna Sammelan / Exhibition 2015

In the present scenario, meeting increasing food demand of over increasing population is the biggest challenge for Indian agriculture. The over exploitation and inefficient management of natural resources and poor adoption of farm technology have made the task of increasing crop productivity more difficult. There exists a wide gap between potential yield and actual yield of most crops. There is a considerable scope for further increase in crop yield by adopting improved technology. Crop yields in India can at least be doubled provided the available farm technology reaches to the farmers fields. For achieving this goal KVK is acting as Knowledge and resource centre in each district. KVK has various activities to transfer the improved farm technology at farmer's fields. A number of activities including Famers training, In-service extension workers training, rural youth training for self employment, On-Farm trial-technology assessment and refinement, field demonstration, farmers meetings, Kisan Mela were undertaken by KVK for the increasing production and productivity of crop in current season. The KVK Nagina organized the one day PRE-KHARIF KISNA SAMMELAN/ EXHIBITION 2015 on 02 July, 2015 at Begrajpur village with the aim to awareness the famers and provide a platform for scientists-farmers interaction.

Hon’ble Member of Parliament Dr Yshwant Singh was the chief guest of this programme.

The programme was based on following themes:

  • Awareness about seed treatment of Kharif crops before sowing/transplanting.
  • Resource conservation in Kharif crops.
  • Better technological option for farmers in current monsoon scenario.
  • Minimization of cost of cultivation through IPNM, IPM technique.
  • To obtain higher and qualitative yield of crops with securing soil health.
  • Increasing the production and productivity of horticultural crops.
