Innovative Methodology for Transfer of Technology using by KVK

  1. Development of Progressive Farmers as Extension Agent: The progressive farmers (50) of the district are trained regularly and they visit the KVK at least once in a month for updating their knowledge. These progressive farmers are working in the field as extension agent of the KVK for the transfer of technology.
  2. Spread of message through Sugarcane Collection Centers: KVK prepares one page technology message which is pasted on the walls of the centre where farmers from the area Jurisdiction come for delivering sugarcane for onward transportation to factories. Many times farmers enquire through mobiles of Scientists as per need. This method is adopted during sugarcane harvesting time starting from Nov.– April. This is one of the most effective technology transfers in the shortest time period.
  3. SMS through mobile: KVK prepares technological SMS and sends it to IIT, Kanpur for its delivery to the farmers of the district.
  4. Regular advisory services through print media: The Four major daily newspaper media persons are called at KVK and briefed about the activities being under taken by the KVK.
